Josh Wallenstein

With well over two decades of legal, compliance, and risk management experience, Josh Wallenstein offers clients practical, no-nonsense solutions tailored to business needs. Josh is President of The Wallenstein Law Group, P.C., a boutique practice headquartered in Houston, Texas. The firm specializes in corporate transactions, anti-corruption compliance, international trade compliance and sanctions, and general legal and business matters.

Josh has the rare background of working in both international law firms and the top tiers of corporate management. Immediately prior to forming the firm, Josh served as Chief Compliance Officer for an international public corporation. He now advises a wide range of public, private, and non-profit companies. He also works with multinational organizations, such as the United Nations, the Inter-American Court of Human Rights, and The World Bank (which selected him as its Compliance Expert in a debarment matter).

During his career, Josh has worked “on the ground” in six continents and has lived in various US states, the United Kingdom, Mexico City, and Dubai. He is fluent in English and Spanish and is conversant in Portuguese.

Graduating in 2002 from Stanford Law School, Josh is admitted to the Texas, New York, D.C., and US Supreme Court bars. He is a published author and frequent public speaker on ethics and compliance-related issues.

Josh resides in Houston with his wife, Luciana — a native of Brazil — and his son, Noah. Together, they raise their two dogs, Teka and Twitch. He is most proud of being designated TIME’s Person of the Year in 2006.
