Tanya Layther

Tanya has over 25 years of legal experience working in-house and as a legal consultant for companies in various industries, including transportation & logistics, retail, and oil & gas.  Her practice focuses on advising clients on business, contracts, corporate, risk management, and general compliance matters.  Prior to joining the firm, Tanya supported in-house legal departments in various capacities from contract engagements where she supplemented companies’ legal teams or filled in for attorneys on maternity leave to serving as general counsel.  Tanya’s goal with her practice is to provide thoughtful and practical legal advice to support clients’ business growth and on-going activities.

Tanya graduated from University of California Berkeley School of Law in 1999 and earned a Masters of Energy and Resources Law from Melbourne Law School at the at the University of Melbourne (Australia) in 2020.   She is licensed to practice in Texas.

Tanya and her Australian husband met in Ireland.  They live in the DFW area with their rescue dogs (Dux and GusGus).  Away from work, she enjoys domestic and international travel and watching wildlife while trying to play golf with her husband.  They aspire to play golf together in all 50 states and as many countries as possible.
